Why we are building a sovereign developer cloud

For fifteen years the cloud meant renting someone else’s computer in someone else’s jurisdiction. That bargain is fraying. Sixty-one percent of European CIOs now say they prefer a sovereign provider, and the regulatory stack — GDPR, the EU AI Act, SecNumCloud — keeps tightening.

Citadea is our answer: a greenfield, EU-hosted cloud that treats developers as the customer and security and sovereignty as the default. We target the workloads we run every day — modern web apps, web3 nodes and autonomous agents — with sane defaults, transparent pricing and no lock-in.

We are honest about where we are. SecNumCloud is in progress, not certified. We label everything plainly. But the architecture is built for the next decade, not the last one.
